Graduated with my Master’s of Music in Percussion Performance
January 25th -27th, 2023
May 11th, 2024
Served as a panelist speaker at the Sphinx Organization Annual Convening on the panel titled "Young, Black, & Ready to Graduate." This event called on Black college students, recent graduates, and high school seniors to explore the unique needs and resources necessary for their academic, mental, and physical support. The focus was on building a strong community among Black student musicians across conservatories, HBCUs, and universities.
I DID IT! I'm grateful for my musical journey at SMU, the support from friends and family, and God’s guidance. I was also selected to be the student reader for the graduate school class. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter. Thank you to my private lesson teachers, George Nickson and Brian Jones, for inspiring me and giving me the tools I need for orchestra auditions.
